At Houston Grass we strive to provide a product and customer service that is second to none.  Grass is a commodity item that is available at the “big box” stores as well as several nurseries and other retailers in the spring time.  At Houston Grass, we sell sod year around.  This means that you can come in our store, which is located 4 miles east of the entrance of Sienna Plantation on Highway 6, and buy 10 pieces of grass or 10 pallets of grass in March or December.  We can load the grass in your trunk, on your trailer or deliver it to you.

We pride ourselves in our responsiveness to our customers’ needs.  Our customers call us and typically we get them grass the same day.  If not, always within 24 hours.

We only buy grass from one farm, located in Bay City, Texas.  This ensures that we get good grass every time.  Many retailers get their grass from whoever will give them the best deal at the time.  Our supplier has been in business since 1981 and they have made a name for themselves that has become synonymous with high quality grass. They spend more dollars per acre on inputs like fertilizer and herbicides to ensure the greenest, healthiest, weed-free product around.

We sell commercially as well as residentially.  We also provide installation, dirt work and take out services.  We offer several varieties of grass including Raleigh St. Augustine, the most common type and sold by the piece;

Palmetto St. Augustine, a more shade tolerant variety, and Floratam St. Augustine.  We also carry Texturf Ten and Tifway 419, which are Bermuda grasses, and Palisades Zoysia.
